Susan is a Real Estate Broker with Royal LePage Lakes of Muskoka, Brokerage. She has held significant transformational leadership roles including the Real Estate Council of Ontario, Club Intrawest, and St. Joseph Media - and is a proud member of CFUW Muskoka and the Royal Canadian Military Institute. She was motivated to join the MLA Board to share her real estate development, marketing, and publishing expertise within an organisation where environment matters. Susan was invited to join the Board in 2019, served on two committees, Chaired Membership & Communications for two years and currently sits on the Government and Land Use Committee.Susan was introduced to cottaging by family friends in Muskoka before her first birthday and by her now husband at Sturgeon Point in the Kawartha Lakes. 35 years ago, they called Muskoka home, and a third generation of Bensons is now enjoying the benefits of the lakeside stewardship, provided by generations before.
