Wooden Boats In Motion

While COVID-19 required cancellation of the MLA’s traditional August Antique Boat Show it certainly is not a reason to keep keen wooden boaters from getting together... to go cruising!

On the morning of Saturday August 8, your MLA boat show committee members were out on the water in their wooden boats for an informal leisurely cruise.  The aim was simply to enjoy our boats in motion, cruising together for less than two hours and then heading home again – a contactless way to have good fun.

We will had two cruises on two locations, one on Lake Muskoka and one on Lake Rosseau.

The MLA had invited prior Boat Show participants, but all wooden boats were very welcomed. The Antique and Classic Boat Society joined us in celebrating vintage boating!

We at the MLA would like to thank Laurie Munro and his son David, Jane Armstrong, and John Bosomworth for the pictures and their time
